About Me

Olga Komisar is certified Sounder Sleep System™ teacher, live somatic teacher (Thomas Hanna based somatics), somatic coach with over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of movement, body awareness and art.

My Journey

Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, my professional path began in art and photography. Through contemporary performance and butoh dance, my understanding of the body–mind relationship shifted toward presence and being, rather than showing and doing. A meeting with the Feldenkrais method and Thomas Hanna’s somatics deepened my interest in somatic education and teaching.

My work is shaped by both artistic practice and hands-on therapeutic experience, including soft massage and osteopathic techniques, as well as volunteer work in physical rehabilitation and recovery.

As the mother of a neurodivergent child, I entered a whole new world of neurodiversity, which deepened my understanding of sensory processing and the importance of nervous system regulation.

Together, these experiences form the foundation of my work — compassion, acceptance and respect for the body’s natural capacity to learn and heal. My bodywork philosophy is rooted in a belief in the body’s own intelligence and its ability to build new neural connections and expand neuroplasticity in a safe and supportive environment.

My Approach

Sessions are based on gentle sequences of movement and natural breathing that invite the nervous system into states of safety, curiosity and repose through inner listening and physical sensing.

This attentive process supports the body’s natural capacity for self-learning, allowing new patterns of coordination and regulation to arise organically. Through slow, gentle movement explorations, the brain receives clear sensory feedback that helps build new neural pathways and increase neuroplasticity.

Each session becomes a dialogue between attention and the body, where awareness becomes the teacher. In this way, people learn how to listen to themselves and how to support their own nervous system through small movements, breath awareness and rest.

Who This Work Is For

This work is for people who are highly sensitive, neurodivergent or living with ongoing stress and overwhelm. It is especially supportive when you feel tired, overstimulated, disconnected from your body or unable to rest and sleep well.

This work can support you if you experience:

• Chronic pain, stiffness or tension
in the jaw, neck, shoulders, back and  hips.

• Nervous system overload
such as anxiety, hypervigilance, stress or difficulty calming down.

• Sleep and breathing difficulties
including restlessness, shallow breathing or trouble falling or staying asleep.

I invite people to develop a new relationship with their bodies through awareness and perception, discovering the richness of inner sensations, the body’s intelligence, and the joy of being present in their own experience.
